Alignment Principles and Technology

OBJECTIVE
Alignment is the proper positioning of machinery parts to ensure smooth operation. Proper alignment of equipment is essential for long life of equipment and couplings. Misalignment can cause vibration, which decreases coupling, bearing and seal life. Alignment in the operating condition must be within equipment manufacturers specified tolerances to avoid these problems.

The principle objective of this course is to educate the participants in the principles of alignment, preparation prior to performing shaft alignment, measuring techniques and calculation by using various alignment methods to ensure smooth operation and minimize equipment or machinery parts problem.
