Maximizing Equipment Effectiveness
OBJECTIVE
The introduction of
TPM or Total Productive Maintenance System into a company's management
system provides the company with a unique opportunity to rationalize its
production system by attaining high levels of overall equipment efficiency
(OEE). Total Productive Maintenance uniqueness is its ability to identify,
classify and quantify equipment losses in terms of ability to produce. The
total elimination or minimization of these losses increases the company's
production capacity without the need to purchase new productive
equipment.
The principal objective of this course is to educate the participants in
the concept of TPM and its related philosophy and techniques of attaining
Zero Equipment Losses. The participant will learn how to identify and
measure the 8 major losses in production processes. He will also learn
some of the techniques for eliminating or reducing these losses. The
participant will be given a quick walk-through the TPM System and OEE
Measurement by identifying the eight losses and measuring their quantum.
The major part of the programme will concentrate on how to reduce the
losses using some of the TPM System tools.
