Project Management & Control
Workshop
OBJECTIVE
A project cycle gives a
framework for planning the sequence of a project’s activities. The term
“cycle” implies that there is an element of feedback, and the stages of
Control and Modification/Update are largely composed of feedback. Feedback
takes place at all other stages as well, even in the Planning stage. If
there is a deficiency, then the process must be reviewed and revised. Just
understanding the project management knowledge is not enough. This course
gives participants a deeper understanding of project fundamentals like
planning, scheduling and control. It builds participants’ understanding of
how all of the pieces of project management fit together.
This course cuts across
the theory of Project Management with practical sessions. It treats the
management of “projects” in the context of a business activity and with
specific objectives and timescale. It encompasses both product development
and “change” projects. It deals with the current issues and techniques for
successful project planning and control, including cost and time control
of project. It includes an interactive computer-aided Project Management
Game to stimulate a real live situation.
