SUPER 5S Engineering

OBJECTIVE
5S has been around for a long time. Many of our companies have found success for a time, others have experienced mixed results. But all say that 5S is very important for the company. Workers find it beneficial to their work activities. But then, why do our companies not have the skills to sustain the power of 5S in their companies?  5-S Engineering takes off from traditional of 5S by including concepts of Kaizen and Industrial Engineering to convert the shop-floor to be more visually manageable and energetic. 5S represents the system of industrial housekeeping namely, Seiri (Orgainsation), Seiton (Tidiness), Seiso (Purity), Seiketsu (Cleanliness), and Shitsuke (Discipline). Some companies have expanded the definition to include other Ss (Such as Safety, Shikkari etc).

This course is to educate the participants in the good practices of  5-S Engineering and help them to develop and deploy the concepts in creating a more visual workplace. The participants will be exposed to the current shortcomings of 5S implementation and shown how to treat them to make 5-S a more dynamic movement in the company. The real goal of the 5-S Engineering is to make the shop-floor a productive showroom by its own people with the help of their own management.
